PARK STREET, FITZROY NORTH
Alterations and additions to an Edwardian residence in North Fitzroy. The original house was altered dramatically in the 50’s and the decision was made to restore the house in its present form rather than a historical Edwardian restoration. This decision was based on paying homage to the migrant influx in the 1950’s and acknowledging this as part of the ongoing history of the home. Additional to this is a contemporary double storey addition which is broken down into a series of two warehouse style pavilions centred around a central courtyard to optimise northern orientation and views. The result is a contemporary building feathering seamlessly into the original home.
